My position in the course framework

Dear All,
Nobel laureate Bengali world poet wrote " Jete Nahi Diba Hai, Tabu Chale Jai, Tabu Jete Deta Hoi". If I translate in English it will roughly be " I won't allow it to go, Nevertheless it goes, Nevertheless it is allowed to go". Dear friends, I don't want that the course will be ended. But I can't stop the natural end to things.

It is quite difficult to summarize the course learning. What I have learnt from this course is "understanding first." If I am not clear in my understanding of what we have learnt, I will not be able to reach any goals connected to this new learning.

Another learning is that I am standing on the seashore of knowledge. The whole sea of knowledge is in front of me. I have only attempted to bathe in the sea.

LoTi Digital-Age Framework has fastened us in a level. So far I understand I have to keep an eye whenever I start to do something.
Reminiscing is always difficult. The whole course is quite pleasurable and enjoyable for me. Hon'ble Deborah Healey and Sandra Jeffs were so helpful, cooperative and generous for me.
Christos said, "I enjoyed the friendly environment, inspiring ideas and the spirit of cooperation that everyone showed in the course". I think that this is perfect saying.
All of you have helped me to build up my ideas perfect.

Definitely, this course has built up my confidence, courage, knowledge and above all power. Now I am an informed person.

But I feel an urge in me that I have to be more powerful with more up- to-date knowledge.

Thank you,

Mahamud

This Week's recipies

Dear All,
Hot potato week. This week I have got an advantage. I created a class "Promoting writing skill through web". Accordingly I have assigned same tasks to my learners. Moreover seeing the prospects, authority decides to do a pilot project with seconday school teachers especially in the 10 schools where computer with broadband internet connectivity is given from our CAL programme.
Already I told to my participants to open their blog. Accordingly most of my learners have created their blog which I have put in the wiki page.

Hot potato is guiding me to create a website free of cost. I didn't know how to transform normal pages into web pages. Now I know it.
Online exercises will help us to produce new materails. Our Government has introduced creative questions for assessment. I think question setters can get unique sources for creative questions which they find most difficult.

It is to say that learner autonomy can be ensured by using online tools.
I think like us if my participants use Nicenet, blogger and wiki, their endeavour to develop language proficiency will see a great success.

I have received feedback from my peer Ahmed for my project. Keeping his suggestion in mind, I am trying to develop my project. I am still working on it keeping the deadline 14th.
Thank you,
Mahamud

Delicious

 Dear All,
Time and tide wait for none. I have forgotten when at first I  learnt  this proverb. Yes my dear friends course is on the verge of ending. Bengali poet Mustaba Ali wrote in Bangla "Ruti  mod furia gabe, Priyar Kalo choke golate hoyee acheba,   Kinto akkhana boi, Annanta Joubana, Jodi Temon Boi Hoi". If I translate it in English it will draftly stand like " Bread and wine will be ended, Eyes of the dearest will be faded way, But a book remains, Eternal young, if it is that type of book". Syed Mustaba Ali in his life time didn't get scope to use Internet let alone Delicious. I think if he knew it, he would have written the poem differently. He would have written " But Delicious will remain with its eternal vigor ensuring opportunity to visit the books from anywhere."
Dear friends, from this course I have learnt many things  that can not be measured. My reading habit has increased manifold.
In our country, I am sure that people can't imagine of  learning that is possible in interactive way. In my case I noticed that I have got most of the ideas from my other course mates. Win win stuation. Nobody is losing in this kingship. Haa haa haa!!!
I am quoting here a popular Bangla song "Aamra sabai Raja, Ameder e Rajar Rajotta" In English it may roughly be translated as " We all are king, We all are king in our king's kingship".
Nobel Laureate Bengali poet Rabindra Nath Tagore wrote" Anek kotha jai je bala-------". In English " Many words can be told-----"
Thank you,
Mahamud

Week 8

Dear all,

What an exciting week!!! After reading all the posting I became puzzled of learner autonomy. Dear Sandra has given me suitable solution.
What Is Learner Autonomy and How Can It Be Fostered? by Dimitrios Thanasoulas,
Learner Autonomy: Bird-in-the-hand or Bird-in-the-bush? by Samuel Sheu which looks at the difficulties in encouraging learner autonomy in Taiwan's highly constrained educational system & Interconnections: Learner Autonomy Teacher Autonomy interview have helped me to visualize the total conception of autonomy, scopes and challenges of autonomy.
This week we have got a guest moderator  Jeff Magota. His views helped me to write one computer class room's lesson. I don't know how far it has been. I have tried to search on different sites for developing the lesson.
This week' burning task is to submit draft project to my peer Ahmed for his valuable comment. I will post it by tomorrow Bangladesh time.
Thank you,
Mahamud
